Maldivian arrested in Malaysia

A Maldivian man has been arrested in Malaysia in relation to a case being investigated by the country's law enforcement body. 

The arrested individual has been identified as Abdul Bathin Mohamed. 

Police said that they had received confirmation that their Malaysian counterparts had arrested Bathin. However, no information has been disclosed regarding the charges for which Bathin has been arrested. 

Police further said that they are also investigating a domestic violence case against Bathin.
