Over 100 applicants attended the walk-in interviews conducted by Elections Commission yesterday, where they are seeking to hire staff for next year's Local Council Elections.
The Elections Commission website stated that they received huge applaud for yesterday's walk-in interview session.
The commission said that over 100 applicants attended the walk-in interviews held yesterday at Kalaafaanu School, with most applicants being between the ages of 18 and 25. EC further said that the highest number of application forms were received for the posts of officers and senior officers.
The second session of the walk-in interviews are being held at Kaamil Didi Primary School in Hulhumale' Phase 2 today. These interviews will continue until 10pm tonight.
Those attending the interviews are required to take their ID cards and copies of educational certificates and curriculum vitae.
EC has arranged to conduct interviews and practical tests, and accept forms at the venue for those who meet requirements.
EC has announced that they are seeking over 260 new staff.
In the instance that the commission's hiring needs are not met through these interviews, they will continue to evaluate applicants every 15 days from September 1 onwards, the EC has said.
