116 Police officers complete initial training course

116 Police officers have completed the initial training course.

The passing out ceremony of the 40th initial training course was held at the Police Centre in Dh. Vaanee last night. 

Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusan attended the ceremony as Chief Guest, joined by Police Commissioner Ismail Naveen and other senior police officials. 

Police said that 116 officers had successfully completed the training, in which 138 participated. The four month training program commenced on April 20. 

Police said that all who completed the training are now equipped with the capabilities to serve as a police officer. 

Plaques were also awarded for commendable achievements. Best All-Round Student title in this course was awarded to Sergeant Mohamed Arshad, Kanmatheege, Sh. Feevah, who also received the Commissioner's Excellence Award.
