STELCO celebrates Engineers’ Day with red-carpet welcome

STELCO marked Engineers’ Day with a warm red-carpet welcome for its engineering staff.

In Maldives, Engineers’ Day is observed annually on August 30. Since this year’s date fell on a public holiday, STELCO held its celebration the following day.

As the engineers arrived at the office, colleagues across the company gathered to honor them with a special ceremony. A celebratory cake-cutting was also part of the event.

This marks the second year that Engineers’ Day has been celebrated in Maldives. The day was first officially declared on August 30 last year, aligning with the inauguration of the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge (also known as the Sinamalé Bridge), the largest infrastructural development project in the coutry.
