Kolama boat located; captain confirmed dead

Dhonveli Adam Saeed (Saeedbe), the captain of the Kolamafushi boat, Kolama, has passed away. He was in his 60s, and the exact cause of his death is still unclear.

According to some accounts from those on board, Saeedbe was missing when the boat was first located. He was later found and immediately taken to the hospital by police launch, but the hospital confirmed him deceased on arrival.  

Speaking from Kolamafushi, a resident stated that the captain was found unconscious. "No further information is available at the moment," they added.

Police have confirmed that the Kolama boat has been found near the area of Ekafaru. Officers are currently on the scene.
