First Lady Sajidha has called on relevant organizations in creating a National Action Plan in increasing student awareness concerning menstrual health.

The First Lady spoke at the closing ceremony of the Workshop Series Episode 3, "Embracing Wellness: A Holistic and Evidence Based Approach to Understanding Endometriosis in Light of Current Research", requesting what was learned during said workshop to be implemented into a National Action Plan.

The First Lady went on to say that being aware of treatment options, diagnostic techniques and the latest research is not an option for professionals but a must.

The First Lady applauded the resilience of women who have endometriosis, saying that women are carrying out their financial and domestic responsibilities while quietly suffering in considerable pain.

First Lady Sajidha also shined a light on the physical and mental strain endometriosis can inflict, along with little to no recognition of the disease and organizations related to menstruation. She also highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and conducting medical care with kindness.

While praising the policy changes that have been brought about to these organizations, First Lady Sajidha also said that the inclusion of endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) treatments in Aasandha is an important step that has been taken towards providing equal healthcare in Maldives.

First Lady Sajidha also said to continue talking about endometriosis and its related subjects and to remain steadfast in voicing out women's health and healthcare. She stated that the workshop not only should be discussed, but it should be used as a stepping stone to reform the health care system.
