Land handed over to build two more mosques in Hulhumale' 2

Today, an agreement signing took place where the handover of land plots to the Islamic Ministry took place for the construction of two more mosques in Hulhumale' 2.

Managing Director Ali Zuhair signed on behalf of the HDC with Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed signing on behalf of the Islamic Ministry.

One of the mosques is to be built on lot number 22221. It is set to be 27,920 square feet in size with a capacity of 2,000 to 3,000 people as per the ministry.

The second mosque is to be built on lot number 22242. This mosque is also set to have a capacity of 2,000 to 3,000 people and will be 20,720 square feet in size as per the ministry.

The Islamic Ministry signed an agreement with HDC to build a mosque in Hulhumale' 2 back in April as well. The plot of said mosque is 18,720 square feet in size and is to finish construction 24 months after land handover. Capacity for the mosque is estimated to be at 2,500 to 3,000.

The Islamic Ministry has said that the mosque was designed with a library and a classroom for Quran lessons. Air conditioning and solar panels will be included as well.

The Islamic Ministry has also stated that some of the mosques that are being constructed in Hulhumale' are set to finish within this year.
