Maldives-China signs 11 MOUs

The President's Office has stated 11 MoUs have been signed in the fields of people building, economic development, infrastructure and renewable energy.

Today, Maldives and China signed 11 MoU's.

The MOU's were signed by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu in Beijing during his current trip to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit held at Tianjin.

The President's Office has stated 11 MOUs have been signed in the fields of people building, economic development, infrastructure and renewable energy.

The establishment of a Fisheries and Maritime Logistics Hub in Addu is also included, along with a National Skill Development Authority.

The President's Office has said the MOUs will aid in moving both countries forward, along with strengthening the bond and sustainable development.

President Muizzu's first visit to China was in January 2024, with 20 MoUs were signed at the time.

President Muizzu went to China last Friday where he has met President Xi Jinping and other world leaders.
