The body of Foreign Ministry employee Lujaina Thasmeena (B. Thulhaadhoo, Kaanimaage) has been brought back to Male'.
She had finished pursuing her Masters after studying for two years in Japan and waiting to undergo the graduation ceremony when she was found deceased in her room. Her body was brought back after an autopsy was done in Japan, as is their protocol for deceased individuals who need to be sent back to their homeland.
Lujaina, 29, was found after her family had been attempting to get in contact with her for two days on August 21st.
As per the Kashunamaadhu.mv Facebook page, Lujaina's funeral will be held at Hulhumale' Cemetery Mosque. The funeral prayer is set to occur post-afternoon prayers.
