Police in Rehendhi School due to a threat, assures no danger

Police are currently active at Rehendhi School in Hulhumale' Phase 1 in response to a threat emailed to the school. 

Minister of Education Dr Ismail Shafeeu told Mihaaru News that Police are responding to a threat that was emailed to the school. 

The email said that there is a bomb near the school, the minister said. The matter was reported to Police by Rehendhi School teachers. 

"The email was sent through an anonymous account. Police are investigating it. Police have said that as of now, there is no active threat. But Police will look into it," the minister said. 

Police also confirmed that they are active at the school, but did not offer any further details.
