The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has reversed its earlier decision to count time served in other state agencies and state-owned companies toward the total length of service for civil servants.

In a circular issued on Thursday, the CSC had initially stated that work experience in government-owned companies and non-civil service agencies would be recognized when calculating service length.

However, the commission has now canceled that circular to allow for further consultation with the relevant authorities.
