STELCO fire victim's funeral to be held tonight

The funeral of Ahmed Azmeel, a STELCO employee who succumbed to injuries sustained in last month's fire at the old STELCO powerhouse, is to be held tonight at Hulhumale' Cemetery. 

Funeral prayers will be held after Isha prayers tonight.

Azmeel worked as supervisor at STELCO.

Azmeel passed away last Thursday while receiving treatment for critical burn injuries at Bangkok Hospital, Thailand. He was 42 years old.

His body was brought back to Maldives on Sunday. 

Azmeel is survived by a wife and two children. His wife is pregnant with their third child.
