Giraavaru Falhu land lots to be drawn on Saturday

Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has announced that lots will be drawn amongst Giraavaru Falhu land recipients on Saturday as new changes to the Land Use Plan will alter the locations of plots granted.

Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has announced that lots will be drawn amongst Giraavaru Falhu land recipients on Saturday as new changes to the Land Use Plan will alter the locations of plots granted. 

In an announcement issued yesterday, the ministry said that as locations of land plots issued under the Binveriya housing scheme has changed, drawing lots to determine plots will be held on January 31, Saturday. 

The process will be broadcast live on State TV PSM, and will be conducted at 9:30 an at the Social Centre. 

The lots will be drawn by ministry officials in the presence of those attending. 

The ministry said that entrance to the venue will be granted to the plot recipient, and in the case of joint ownership, to one of the recipients. 

Once the lots are drawn, the allocated plots will be immediately updated on the Hiyaavehi Portal, with an SMS being sent to the recipient's phone informing them of the plot number allocated. 

The ministry also shared a map showing how the residential plots are now arranged in Giraavaru Falhu. 

2,605 plots of 1,250sqt, 1,213 plots of 1,650sqft, 253 plots of 2,050sqft and 1 plot of 2,450sqft will be issued from Giraavaru Falhu. 

The ministry stated that it will announce at a later date the arrangements for signing agreements and handover of registries.
