The Minister also noted that all services will be available under one roof, which he highlighted as a significant convenience.

"It will facilitate the administrative connection that needs to be maintained with the families and friends of those who are incarcerated, and make it easier to obtain the services required from the institution," the Minister said.

He further mentioned that the new front office was constructed by inmates and officers, noting the hard work of the Correctional officers in training the inmates for this task.

The headquarters of the Correctional Service was also built by inmates employed through rehabilitation programs and MCS officers.

The Correctional Service stated that the purpose of opening the new front office is to provide necessary services to the public in a convenient manner.
