Employment provided to 356 persons with disabilities so far

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef stated today that employment has been arranged for 356 persons with disabilities.

During a ceremony held today to launch the National Road-map for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, the Vice President noted that this government is undertaking significant efforts to ensure the rights of people with special needs.

He mentioned that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has been closely monitoring the work being done to protect the rights and empower these individuals since the very first day.

In this regard, the Vice President stated that employment has been arranged for 356 persons with disabilities across various government institutions so far.

Highlighting that the government has also conducted programs to teach essential skills required to enter the workforce, he said that the road-map launched today is one of the most important initiatives taken by the government.

He further described it as a strong historical step forward in ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities.
