Electricity bill for Ramadhan to not exceed MVR 400

STELCO has said that as President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated the electricity bill for every household should not exceed MVR 400 this upcoming Ramadan, STELCO will begin work this week to compile separate readings for that month.

STELCO stated that their employees will begin this work on 16th and 17th February, and have requested cooperation from households.

During the ruling party PNC rally at Artificial Beach in November, the President had announced that every domestic bill during Ramadan will not exceed MVR 400.

During Ramadan last year, the government gave a discount on the electricity and water bills. STELCO drafted up a separate bill for households that time around as well.
