MFDA bans use of Handy water glass bottles

Maldives Food and Drug Authority has directed the public to avoid use of Handy water glass bottles. 

In a statement released today, MFDA said that contaminants have been 330ml, 550ml and 1L Handy water glass bottles. 

Testing of the water indicated that it does not fall within the standards for drinking water set by the WHO, MFDA said. 

MFDA warned the public to avoid use of Handy water until further notice.
