An incident that occurred at the WAMCO Male' site has left a member of staff seriously injured.
A Police Media official said that they received reports on February 23 of the incident that occurred the previous day. Police confirmed that they have launched an investigation into the matter.
The staff member who was injured in the incident is being treated at IGMH, and is currently on ventilator support, Police said.
Social media users have shared a photo which shows a man who appears to have fallen into a container. The accompanying post claims that he is the driver who slipped off the ramp and fell into the dumping container from a height of about 12 to 13 feet.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the man suffered three broken ribs.
WAMCO is yet to comment on the incident.
