MVR 1.4 million in Fitr Zakat has been paid across Male' and the atolls in the first week of Ramadan.
Maldives Zakat House said today that they have received MVR 1,374,481 in Fitr Zakat in the first seven days of Ramadan.
Zakat House has made arrangements this year where Fitr Zakat is accepted online through seven platforms.
Online platforms to pay Fitr Zakat
- Dhiraagu Mobile App and DhiraaguPay
- Ooredoo, mFaisaa mobile app
- Maldives Islamic Bank mobile app
- Bank of Maldives mobile app
- FahiPay mobile app
- Avas mobile app
- Bandeyri Pay website
FahiPay and Bandeyri Pay will be accepting Zakat payments until the last day of Ramadan.
Fitr Zakat can be paid through the other apps until 6am on Ramadan 27.
Those unfamiliar with online payment platforms also have the option of visiting the Islamic Centre in person and paying Fitr Zakat through cash or cash cards.
