MVR 200,000 recovered by Police over two days

In a period of 48 hours, Police have recovered over MVR 200,000 lost in multiple cases.

In a period of 48 hours, Police have recovered over MVR 200,000 lost in multiple cases. 

Police said that the funds were recovered through their efforts to maintain safety and security in Male'. 

Police shared statistics of work undertaken by Henveiru, Galolhu and Maafannu Police Stations on last Monday and Tuesday.

As per this, Maafannu Police received reports of a total MVR 62,400 being lost. Of this, MVR 2,400 has been recovered. 

Henveiru Police received requests to recover MVR 24,400 in lost money. Of this, MVR 4,000 was recovered. 

Galolhu Police recovered MVR 224,600 lost in various cases. 

With this, a total of MVR 231,000 was recovered within 48 hours. 

During this period, 11 individuals were arrested in relation to theft and robbery cases, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Shifan revealed. 

Also within those two days, Henveiru Police stopped 156 individuals on the street for questioning, searched 572 locations, and arrested two individuals. 

Galolhu Police questioned 122 people on the streets and searched 703 locations. 

Maafannu Police stopped and questioned 151 people on the streets, and searched 341 locations.
