A dead body was found afloat today at the swimming track in Hithadhoo, Addu.
Police said that they received reports of the body being found at 4:30pm today.
The body was retrieved and taken to the Addu Equatorial Hospital.
Police confirmed that the deceased is a foreigner, but said that his identity is not yet known.
Police are working on identifying the deceased and is investigating the incident.
