The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced today that Fitr Eid prayers in large congregations will be held at four locations in the Male' region.
The ministry published a list of locations on its website. As per this, Eid prayers in the Male' area will be held at:
- Maafannu Stadium, Male'
- Vilimale' Football Grounds
- Synthetic Track, Hulhumale' Phase 1
- The empty plot of land adjacent to Masjid Hassan Adam, Nirolhu Magu, Heenaamaa Hin'gun, Feyrugas Magu and Dhun'burigas Magu, Hulhumale' Phase 2
Fitr Eid prayers are scheduled to commence at 7am.
In addition to these four locations which can accommodate large congregations, Fitr Eid prayers will also be held in 24 mosques in the Male' area, the Islamic Ministry said.
The calendar indicates that Fitr Eid this year will fall on next Friday, March 20.
