In a fire incident that occurred in Hulhumalé, a room in a house was completely gutted by fire, leading the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to provide temporary shelter for 7 people.
The fire broke out in a room at Lot 11395, Saimaa Hingun, Hulhumalé.
NDMA stated that a room in the house was extensively damaged in the incident.
According to NDMA, one room of the house was completely burnt in the incident that occurred this afternoon, while the other rooms and the sitting room of the house were also affected by black smoke and fire.
Therefore, the authority has arranged temporary shelter, food, and clothing for five days for the seven people who lived in that house, NDMA said.
