The Maldivian man who was arrested due to him causing a disturbance on a Batik Air flight was released yesterday morning.
The police made it known yesterday that they had arrested a Maldivian man on Thursday night who had arrived in the Maldives on a Batik Air flight.
A police media official told Mihaaru News that they released the man they had brought into custody in connection to the case after taking his health into account.
However, the police continue to investigate the matter.
It is unclear as to why the flight was disrupted.
As per information, a Batik Air that landed at Velana International Airport last night was disrupted due to an unruly passenger, with the cabin crew and flight passengers having experienced inconveniences as well.
