CCTV footage shared on social media shows a man entering G. Hiyaa Roadhi just moments before a fire broke out at the premises last Wednesday.
The fire incident at the warehouse located at G. Hiyaa Roadhi, near the Galolhu Mortuary, occurred at around 11am on Wednesday.
An anonymous account posted CCTV footage on social media, showing a man arriving on a black Honda Wave motorcycle and entering the building. The man was dressed in a black and white checkered shirt and wore dark sunglasses.
According to time stamps in the video, the man entered the building at 10:33am, and leaves a short while later at 10:39am. By 10:43am, crowds begin to gather as smoke is seen coming out of the building.
Police are investigating the incident, but have not yet commented on the footage or the person's alleged entry prior to the fire.
No arrests have been made in relation to the incident so far.
The building was damaged beyond use by the time the fire was brought under control and extinguished.
