A car speeding in the reclaimed area of Hithadhoo, Addu, overturned, leaving all four persons inside injured. One of the accident victims is in critical condition, according to Police.
Police said that they received reports of the accident at 4:50pm today.
While the three passengers in the car sustained varying levels of injuries, the driver's injuries are life threatening.
The driver of the car, aged 30 years, is an employee of WAMCO in Addu.
All four are currently under treatment at the Addu Equatorial Hospital.
Video footage circulating on social media shows that the car involved in the accident also sustained severe damage. As seen in the video, the car has a taxi license plate.
