Police have confirmed that the two year old who died late Friday night passed away after drowning in a resort swimming pool.
The toddler who passed away in the incident is a two year old boy from HA. Uligan.
Police said last night that they had received reports of a two year old who had been declared dead on arrival at ADK Hospital at 1am on Saturday.
"According to information received so far, the child fell into a swimming pool in a resort in Kaafu atoll and drowned," Police said in a message to media.
Police stated that they are continuing investigations into the incident.
