The famous German airline, Condor, has decided to resume flights to the Maldives to coincide with the European summer.

This marks the first time in about a year that the airline will operate flights to the Maldives during the summer season following a hiatus.

According to Condor's released "Summer 2026" schedule, four flights per week will operate from Frankfurt, Germany, to the Maldives from the first of May until the end of October.

These trips will take place on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday of each week.

The latest A330-900neo model aircraft are scheduled to be used for these flights. These are aircraft designed to be environmentally friendly and comfortable for travelers.

According to the Visit Maldives website, this decision by Condor is a significant step forward in increasing tourist arrivals to the Maldives from the German market. Germany has always been among the top countries in the Maldives' tourism market.

Condor Airlines is an airline with a long history in Maldivian tourism, having operated flights to the Maldives since 1981.

However, previously, the airline operated charter flights.

Due to the ongoing war in the Middle East affecting air travel in the UAE and Qatar, tourists traveling from Europe to the Maldives on transit flights have faced difficulties.

The government has also stated that discussions are underway for European airlines to operate direct flights to the Maldives to resolve this issue.
