Submission of forms for the "Binveriya" special scheme, conducted under this government's housing project, has been postponed to next month.

In an announcement made by the Ministry of Housing, it stated that the date to open applications through the portal for the "Binveriya" special scheme has been postponed to 11:00 AM on April 1.

The opportunity to submit forms for that scheme was previously decided to open starting tomorrow.

The Ministry has not yet stated the reason why the it had to be postponed.

The "Binveriya" special scheme is a policy where individuals who received land by submitting joint applications under the "Binveriya" scheme carried out by the previous government can be issued land plots individually, provided everyone agrees to relinquish those plots.

According to the policy, those who were unable to apply for the "Binveriya" scheme because they had received a flat from a previous scheme can also apply for land under the new program.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced this housing program while delivering this year's Presidential Address on February fifth.

In addition to the "Binveriya" special scheme, because the flat and land programs opened by the government last January did not allow individuals to apply if their spouse had received housing in the Malé area, the President announced a special program named "Goathi-Gedhoru" specifically to resolve that issue.

The opportunity to submit forms for the "Goathi-Gedhoru" program was opened on the eighth of this month.
