The handover for the Hulhumale' Phase 3 plots under the Binveriya scheme will begin today.
According to the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), preparations are underway for the handover of the plots to their recipients, with the handover to begin today.
HDC stated that surveying of the site and designation of the boundary walls are underway, with the work being done with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure.

The Hulhumale' Phase 2 and Hulhumale Phase 3 plots were assigned under former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration's Binveriya scheme, with lots having been drawn for the people who received the 698 plots from Hulhumale' Phase 3.
Number of plots:
- 41 plots of 3,250 square feet
- 16 plots of 3,650 square feet
- 24 plots of 4,000 square feet
- 181 plots of 1,650 square feet
- 242 plots of 2,050 square feet
- 132 plots o 2,450 square feet
- 62 plots of 2,850 square feet
The project to reclaim the land as a means to solve the housing crisis in Maldives started in September 2023.

This work ended in December 2025. HDC has stated that the project was halted due to the Hulhumale' Master Plan currently being revised.
The project was awarded to Capital Marine and Civil Construction (CMC), with 63 hectares of land having been reclaimed.
