Police have arrested five men from Bangladesh over the kidnapping and torture of an individual in a construction site.
Police said that they had received reports of a kidnapping last Wednesday. They launched a search for the man and ultimately found him being held in Vilimale'. He was rescued and provided medical treatment.
Five arrests were made yesterday in relation to this case. The suspects have been identified as:
- MD Hosein, 30
- MD Mehdi Hassan, 34
- MD Shah Alam, 39
- Safif Hassan, 38
- Rasal, 20
The court has placed all five in remand in custody for a period of 15 days.
As the case is under investigation, no further details have been disclosed as of yet.
