MACL DMD Lamaan appointed VC of New Radiant

MACL Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Lamaan has been appointed Vice Chairman of New Radiant.

New Radiant Chairman Ahmed Mubeen told Mihaaru News that Lamaan was appointed as the Vice Chairman (VC) through the authority granted to the ExCo under the club's statutes.

New Radiant currently has three VCs. These include current Senior VC of FAM Mujthaba Jaleel and West Henveiru constituency PNC member Ali Ibrahim (Kappi). Mujthaba is the Managing Director of WAMCO, while Kappi is Senior Vice President of FAM.

Mubeen stated that Mujthaba and Kappi's involvement in New Radiant's matters have been minimal.

"I have met with FAM President Ahmed Thoriq (Tom). He stated that Mujthaba and Kappi should be involved in FAM's work," said Mubeen.

"We need the Vice President's to be more involved at club activities and works. We put forward Lamaan's name at ExCo and appointed him as Vice President. The constitution gives that power to the ExCo."

Mubeen has stated that he is currently working full time concerning club activities.

He went on to say that there will be another individual that will also take on New Radiant responsibilities in the future.

"We have one more person in mind for the position of VC. The purpose of this is to bring in someone who can contribute to club projects and works and someone who will willingly participate," stated Mubeen.
