Kelaa MP Abdulla Shareef and Road Development Corporation (RDC) Managing Director Ibrahim Nazeem will oversee Victory Sports Club as it prepares for elections.
According to a club official, Shareef will serve as chairperson and Nazeem as vice-chairperson.
“The two will be in charge,” the official said.
Attempts by Mihaaru News to reach Nazeem for comment were unsuccessful. Shareef said he could not comment at this time.
The official added that elections would be announced soon.
Nazeem, who has also worked at the Sports Ministry, previously led Victory between 2016 and 2018 and later served as vice-president following the 2018 elections, when Vilimale MP Mohamed Ismail was chairperson.
The move comes after all members of the club’s previous board, apart from chairperson Hussain Adam, resigned, prompting the need for fresh elections.
