TC Sports Club, who had been sitting at the bottom of the Dhivehi Premier League standings, brought an end to Maziya's win streak this season.

Entering the match Maziya had won every single official fixture of the season.

However, TC managed to salvage a 1-1 draw in the final moments of the game, marking the first time this season that the league leaders have dropped points.

The match took a difficult turn for Maziya during first-half time when Ibrahim Aisam (Toni) was shown a direct red card. Aisam was given a red card following a dangerous foul on TC’s Hassan Eenaz, forcing the defending champions to play the entire second half with only ten players.

Despite the disadvantage, Maziya managed to break the deadlock in the 57th minute. Naiz Hassan (Dhaadhu) capitalized on a sharp pass from Hamza Mohamed (Hampu) inside the box, firing a first-time strike into the roof of the net to give his side the lead.

The equalizer sparked celebrations from the TC squad, as the single point was enough to lift them off the bottom of the table.

TC now sits in ninth place with six points, moving ahead of Green Streets, who currently occupy the bottom spot with five points.
