The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has decided not to accept Club Valencia's appeal regarding the matter of Club Green Streets failing to show up for a Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League match, as the appeal was submitted after the deadline had expired.

Due to Green Streets' failure to appear for the match scheduled against New Radiant on February 5th, the resulting outcome led to Valencia being relegated to the Second Division.

Consequently, Valencia submitted the case to FAM for investigation, alleging that Green Streets intentionally failed to show up for the match. After investigating the matter, the FAM Disciplinary Committee decided to ban Green Streets from buying or selling players in the upcoming transfer window and fined them MVR 50,000.

Valencia had hoped that the committee, after investigating the case, would deduct points from Green Streets. Had that happened, Valencia would have remained in the First Division, and Green Streets would have been relegated. Valencia expressed significant dissatisfaction with the Disciplinary Committee's decision.

FAM stated today that Valencia did not appeal the matter within the given seven-day period and had not requested a deadline extension either. Therefore, the Appeals Committee decided not to accept the appeal made after the deadline.

According to the regulations, since Green Streets did not show up for the match, it was decided they lost 2-0. As a result, Green Streets secured ninth place in the league based on goal difference and remained in the First Division. Had Green Streets appeared and played this match and lost by a difference of five goals, Valencia would have been saved, and Green Streets would have been relegated.

Despite Valencia's allegations, Green Streets has denied them.

"The club denies all allegations that the match was intentionally forfeited. Furthermore, these are allegations made without any facts or evidence," the club stated.
