Indian PM Narendra Modi addresses Maldivian Parliament
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Maldives on his first state visit on June 8, 2019, addressed the Maldivian parliament late Saturday. The prime minister, who visited Maldives on the invitation of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, touched upon several topics during his special address, including India's continued assistance towards Maldives, India's Neighbourhood First policy, and the importance of India-Maldives relations in establishing regional security and combating terrorism.
