India's Minister of External Affairs Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is currently in Maldives on an official 3-day trip upon the invitation of Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer. He had also paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and thanked the President for the warm welcome he had received upon his arrival. The project to establish water and sewerage facilities in 28 islands were completed under a Line of Credit Facility by India's EXIM Bank and officially handed over to the government during a special ceremony held yesterday. He had also monitored progress of the Thilamale' bridge construction project proceeded under India's aid to connect Male', Vilingili, Gulhifalhu and Thilafushi.
